Yorkshire Status: Very common and fairly widespread resident.

Widespread and common all across the county, though numbers appear to have reduced a little in recent years.

Sutton & Beaumont, 1989: This species seems to have increased in some areas since the last list (YNU, 1970). Now widely distributed and often frequent especially on lower ground.
