This species has only been recorded once, when two moths came to light at Little Preston in 2016. This record is a lot further north than other records. It it was colonising naturally, we would have expected our first record to be in VC63 where the food plant, Traveller's Joy is more common, so it is not impossible that imported plants might have played a part here. The larvae may also feed at times on garden varieties of Clematis.
