Yorkshire Status: Very rare migrant
We just have one record of this scarce migrant species, from Spurn on 10/6/2023, a time of high migrant activity when many species such as Rannoch Looper came across the North Sea on easterly winds. According to the Atlas there are only about 20 British records in total. It may have been temporarily resident in Kent in the 1940s and 50s. It is thought to be expanding its range in central Europe so we may see more in years to come. | Retained Specimen / Photograph will be Required. | |
